Ryan Galbraith Photography » Ryan's PhotoBlog.

In lieu of an entry can I just show off Ryan's jawdropping skills?

We went to this last Saturday and it was fun to 1) dress up, 2) not be working for a few hours, 3) watch him work, 4) enjoy the open (to us) bar & fetch drinks, & 4) meet new and interesting people –

A welcome spring (welcome, spring!)

Mmmmmmm….May

You know how I wrote about how excited I get about the sunrises and sunsets, something I didn't understand when I was a know-it-all teenager? I also love the seasons, all of them, and I love spring right now. It just bursts into the world after this long cold winter of snow and wind and dark days and darker nights, and brings so much color and life and energy it's almost obscene and pornographic. But you know what? It's not too much. It's just right. It's all the energy and life all pushed out at once, and it's the physical manifestation of hope and optimism and growth.

The answer is none. None more rich.

Someone ordered it wrapped, so I wrapped it!

I've been spending a lot of time shipping lately. This is something I used to do all the time. Every spare moment I had, I was either sewing or shipping, and then later even more shipping. And answering email. As things grew, I brought people on to help me. I really needed the help. And it felt good to not be the one doing EVERYTHING. And I'm still not the one doing everything. I do have help. Some. But I'm back to shipping and carrying and doing things I used to do. And I've got less help with this level of workload than I've ever had. If that makes sense.

Oh, also…

If later you see a photo of me on fire in the snow with a Viking helmet and a dress made out of library card catalogs, now you'll know I agreed to it. . . . → Read More: Oh, also…

Photographing photographers & fun with shutter speed

This is Ryan. He's a photographer so he's used to being behind the camera, but not in front of it. He's getting better at letting me take his picture, see? I think I'm getting better at letting go of my intimidated inhibitions and taking his picture too. It's all working out nicely.
