Chewed Tulip. What eats tulips?
When I get stressed out I chew the inside of my mouth until it's raw and bleeding. I suppose there are worse habits, and it's not as self-mutilating as cutting or something but it does become painful. The problem is I'm not actually aware of it until my mouth is so sore I can barely eat.
And speaking of a sore mouth, I have been suffering from food allergies. These usually manifest themselves by inflamed mouth and throat, racing heart, trouble breathing, headache, and painful backache. Fun, right? I eliminated gluten but it seems the cross contamination in some facilities bother me. This isn't always true though because I ate tortillas last night that were processed where wheat is processed and I didn't react. I'm guessing it depends on how clean the line is by the time whatever I eat goes through it. I also ate this nut bar thing mid-morning while I was sitting in the Casual Bloggers Conference and got so sick I had to go home and sleep it off.
Then when I got home tonight I ate some corn chips, salsa, black beans and cottage cheese. Yes, cottage cheese. It's a miracle food. Let me just say, I found yet another brand of corn chip I can't eat.
It's getting really old.
Maybe I just need to live on hilarious quips and pithy conversation. Or maybe I could live on photos of flowers. Flowers and children. I think I could live on those, or at least on taking them.
So between that and the mouth-chewing stress, my face is pretty sore.
Chewed up tulips are pretty too, right?
I chew my cheeks, too! Don't think I've ever met anyone else that does it…or at least admits they do.
I love that you already posted! Who knows when I'll have my stuff together enough to do so?
I adore cottage cheese.

Margot, I'm inspired to be on the ball. Plus if I just post right away it's fresher and then I don't have to worry about it. I'm going to approach this blog like I used to my LJ and just write, write, write, and stop obsessing over posts because that just leads to crippling writer's block. That's my plan, anyway. We'll see how long it lasts. And I should have mentioned you in my next post! I didn't know your blog url. lol
Me, too. My mom always did it, and sadly my 7-year-old has started
Me, ten-thousand apparently. ugh. I don't know why,but I can't stop!
Yep, I chew cheeks too. lol. there is actually a whole bunch of information on it online. We are not alone. And like you I don't realize it until it's too late.
The casual blogger conference sounds cool. I am casual. I like that heading.
